Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. – Howard Thurman
I believe that stories and beliefs provide lenses through which we see and experience the world. Each “reality” is unique. When one is hindered in their ability to work, play, or love it may be due to hunger for more nourishing stories and beliefs. I also believe in love as curative, so therapy is about removing obstacles to intimacy, with yourself and others, which often involves grieving and facing fears. I love my clients and use our relationship to push and support you in exploring more vulnerable and authentic ways of being.
The environment I create is caring, challenging, accepting, and honest. There is room for humor, despair, and mistakes. Sessions tend to be half talking and half improv, drawing on drama and art therapies, conversations with parts of yourself, whatever it takes to bring your issues alive in the room.
